Happy Monday everyone.
It’s been a whirlwind the last 4/5 days for me as I’ve traveled to New York to play golf and catch up with an old friend and check out the local sights. I love the East Coast and feel like I missed my calling in my twenties to spend more time in New York but who knows, maybe it’s just delayed.
I had a great time playing a decent round (which is rare for me to get out much anymore) and had a better time meeting up with some friends in the city for a birthday on Saturday.
By the way, Uber prices in the city are insane, I could have bought a plane ticket for what I spent in those 3 days.
(BTW, what a view that city is)
It’s always great hearing stories and talking shop with other finance/trader guys. I feel just as energized and excited about the markets today when talking them as I did at 18 and I hope that never goes away.
What I really enjoy is hearing the perspective of the lens of others to which they use to view the markets.
You realize that there are so many ways to slice the bread that it’s just endless and that’s the great thing about capitalism; it allows you to get creative.
Speaking of that.
I am back in Puerto Rico working on the farms and that never gets old. It’s a good reminder of hard work and it keeps me from getting to posh.
I just finished up issue 25 of The LongVol Report and after scanning through some names there seems to be some things in the works.
For one, WTI Crude has been on my list for the last month. I’ve been trying to position long but find myself flipping views which has been the play but I’m ready to just put a position on there and leave it.
We’ll see how it goes here this Summer, but the heat is for sure here.
I guess it beats 115 of dry heat in Arizona.
Here are a few links of recent that caught my attention.
The NVDA call side trade is as crowded as it’s even been. From SpotGamma.
How to Stop Procrastinating (a thread that caught my attention)
Have a great week.
P.S.
