Running on Empty.
I don’t really listen to a lot of podcasts or read many investment reports anymore.
Mainly because they cloud my judgement, that, and everyone pretty much says the same thing - at least when it comes to macro and markets.
You get some data, you analyze it, you then execute or don’t execute on it.
Seems pretty straight forward to me.
But a lot of people like to talk. I like to make money for me and my clients.
So, give me the data, let me look at it then let me execute on it.
Because at the end of the day what’s the point?
I tweeted that out the other day.
In the midst of all the data, which we always have, it can get cloudy.
Right now, the consumer seems to be running on empty.
Nordstrom and Macys both reported a few things to note.
Then you have charts. That SPY ETF weekly candle is pretty bearish.
Last week’s TLV Report issue 35 was called “Hanging by a Thread.”
This week’s report, issue 36, is titled: “Running on Empty.
Either way…. we’re close to something here in the markets and with NFP and some other big data this week it’s time to pay attention.
If you missed Episode II of The LongVol show you can watch that here
I am hoping to get a friend on the next show this week who is a big car guy on YouTube.
We met during my Carvana short thesis back in 2022 - as he reached out to give me insights he was seeing.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
